Well actually 60g of any wholemeal (whole wheat bread) is a Healthy Extra B choice - here we use 2 small ones per person which weigh 57g each, which is more than the 60g allowance for the two. However you cut out the centre reducing the weight to wait for it 60g!!!

Just choose wholemeal rolls that are not more than the 60g allowance each and when you remove the centre, both rolls should weigh 60g :).

But before you go throwing out those bits of bread from the middle of the roll, why not keep it, blitz it to breadcrumbs in a food processor, lightly toast and you can use it for breadcrumbs for my KFC Chicken Feast or these yummy Chicken Goujons tomorrow.
